Staff Accountant (86665657) Palm Springs, California Salary: USD28 - USD31 per hour Position Summary Our client, a healthcare organization,is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization. This position will be responsible for general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, month-end close activities, financial reporting support, and ensuring compliance with nonprofit accounting standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries. Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts. Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed. Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for audits. Assist with grant reporting and restricted fund tracking. Support budget preparation and financial reporting. Ensure compliance with GAAP and nonprofit accounting requirements. Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 2+ years of accounting experience. Experience with month-end close and reconciliations. Proficiency in Excel.
