Supervisory Attorney

Serves as a managing attorney within the Office of the Chief Counsel, International Affairs & National Security Law Division (AGC-700). The manager reports directly to the Deputy Assistant Chief Counsel for International Affairs & National Security Law. To qualify for this position, ALL applicants MUST meet the following criteria :

• 1) have a JD Degree from an accredited law school; and
• 2) be admitted to practice before the bar of any U.S. jurisdiction or within the District of Columbia and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico; and
• 3) be an active member of that bar; and
• 4) at least one full year of specialized experience in the work performed at the next lower grade level (FV-J/K or GS-14/15) for this occupational series. The specialized experience for this position is defined as:

Experience providing advice and counsel on a range of legal matters relating to government international affairs; and Experience directing and executing plans, programs, policies, or projects on international law matters.
