Field Infrastructure Lead - OT Systems & Smart Building Technology

Job Description Our client, a globally recognized commercial real estate investment and management firm, is seeking a Lead Analyst – Real Estate Technology Infrastructure (Operations). This high-impact, field‑forward role sits at the intersection of operational technology (OT), enterprise networking, and smart building environments across a global property portfolio. This position will serve as the boots‑on‑the‑ground technical lead, responsible for deploying, validating, and supporting infrastructure across corporate and property environments. The role is highly hands‑on and travel‑driven, supporting property onboardings, system integrations, and infrastructure performance in real‑world environments. It is an individual contributor role with strong ownership, partnering closely with property teams, vendors, and internal technology stakeholders to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure infrastructure deployments. Responsibilities Deploy, configure, and support enterprise network infrastructure across corporate and property environments, including wireless, switching, firewalls, and site connectivity. Execute infrastructure scope for property onboardings, acquisitions, and building transitions, including ISP coordination and circuit turn‑up. Travel to sites (~40%) for evaluations, escalations, system validation, and hands‑on remediation. Monitor infrastructure environments, analyze alerts, troubleshoot incidents, and drive operational resolution. Support operational technology (OT) environments, including building systems such as BMS/BAS, access control, and CCTVs. Coordinate with vendors, integrators, and property teams to manage deployment timelines and resolve technical issues. Apply cybersecurity best practices across OT/IT environments, including firewall rules, redundancy, failover validation, and secure remote access. Maintain accurate documentation, configuration records, and system inventories within enterprise service management tools. Qualifications 7–10 years of experience in enterprise networking, OT infrastructure, or distributed technology operations. Hands‑on experience supporting building systems such as BMS/BAS, access control systems, CCTV, or similar. Strong knowledge of enterprise networking fundamentals, including firewalls, VPNs, switching, wireless, redundancy, and failover. Working understanding of OT/IT cybersecurity frameworks and principles. Ability to review low‑voltage drawings, technical specifications, and as‑built documentation. Experience working in travel‑heavy, field‑based environments. Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Procore, Bluebeam Revu, or Smartsheet is a plus. Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CWNA are preferred. Strong problem‑solving skills with an AI‑forward, efficiency‑driven mindset. Prefer Experience in commercial real estate, construction, or property operations environments. Exposure to smart building or PropTech ecosystems. Familiarity with distributed building infrastructure and multi‑site operations. Experience supporting physical security systems and connected building technologies.
