Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Onsite | 12-Hour Day Shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) | 36–48 Guaranteed Hours Per Week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a high-acuity Cardiac/Telemetry Medical-Surgical unit with a 41-bed capacity and a day-shift ratio of 1:4–5
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and 12-lead EKGs, managing conditions such as Afib with RVR, flutter, heart blocks, CHF, COPD, sepsis, and post-ablation care
• Initiate and titrate drips including antiarrhythmics, Heparin, aminophylline, Cardizem, Tikosyn, and Amiodarone
• Manage chest tubes, indwelling drains, nephrostomy tubes, CBI, and PIV insertion
• Document and chart accurately using the EPIC electronic health record system
• Float within skillset to affiliated campuses with a minimum of 2 hours' notice; may precept students and new hires as required in a teaching environment

Required Qualifications

• Current, active Compact RN License
• AHA BLS certification (must be current)
• AHA ACLS certification (must be current)
• NIHSS certification (must be current)
• Minimum 2 years of recent, strong Cardiac/Telemetry experience
• Minimum 1 prior travel assignment and Trauma Level II experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Recent EPIC charting experience (checkoff class will be required upon start)
• Demonstrated ability to pass telemetry competency testing
• Experience with dialysis patients, BH/CIWA protocols, and heart catheterization without interventions
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and adaptability skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
