Loan Coordinator / Lender Liaison (Mortgage Operations) – Remote | U.S. Hours Position Type: Full-Time, Remote Working Hours: U.S. Business Hours About the Role At Pavago, one of our clients is hiring a Loan Coordinator / Lender Liaison to manage loan files and ensure they move efficiently from submission through closing . You’ll serve as the primary coordination point between lenders, underwriters, and internal teams , maintaining clear visibility across every active loan and ensuring documentation, conditions, follow-ups, and deadlines stay on track. What You’ll Own Lender Communication Serve as the primary point of contact with lending partners. Maintain consistent communication throughout the loan lifecycle. Follow up on: Outstanding documentation Underwriting conditions Lender requests Pending approvals Communicate updates clearly to internal stakeholders. Escalate issues proactively to prevent funding or closing delays. Loan Pipeline Management Track active loan files from submission through closing. Review loan reports and lender updates daily. Maintain accurate visibility into: Current loan status Outstanding conditions Required documentation Upcoming deadlines Next steps Identify bottlenecks before they impact closing timelines. Ensure every active loan has clear ownership and follow-up. Internal Team Coordination Coordinate with internal teams to gather required documentation. Manage responses to lender and underwriting requests. Support timely submission of loan packages and updates. Follow up proactively on outstanding internal items. Keep stakeholders aligned on deadlines, requirements, and closing timelines. Documentation & File Management Maintain complete and organized loan files. Ensure lender correspondence and documentation are properly recorded. Keep CRM and loan management systems accurate and current. Verify file completeness before important milestones. Maintain clear records throughout the entire lending process. Closing Coordination Monitor loans approaching closing. Confirm outstanding conditions are addressed on time. Coordinate final requirements between lenders and internal stakeholders. Maintain visibility into expected closing and funding timelines. Help prevent last-minute delays caused by missing documentation or communication gaps. Process Improvement Identify inefficiencies in loan processing and lender communication. Recommend improvements that reduce: Processing delays Communication gaps Missed follow-ups Loan cycle times Help develop standardized workflows for pipeline management and lender coordination. Required Experience & Skills Proven experience in: Loan coordination Loan processing Mortgage operations Lender liaison Similar lending roles Strong understanding of the U.S. mortgage or lending process . Experience managing loan files from submission through closing. Excellent written and verbal English communication. Strong organizational and project management skills. Ability to manage multiple active loans simultaneously. Experience with: CRM systems Google Docs Google Sheets Google Calendar Strong attention to detail and deadline management. Ability to work independently in a remote environment. Reliable internet connection. Availability for 30+ hours per week . Nice to Have Experience with: DSCR loans Non-QM loans Investment-property financing Experience supporting real estate investors or investment-property transactions. Familiarity with: Encompass LendingPad Jungo Salesforce Other loan management systems Background in real estate acquisitions, dispositions, or operations. Previous experience supporting U.S.-based: Mortgage lenders Mortgage brokers Real estate investment firms What a Typical Day Looks Like You may start by reviewing every active loan to identify new lender updates, outstanding conditions, missing documentation, and approaching deadlines. Throughout the day, you’ll: Communicate with lenders and underwriters. Follow up on outstanding loan conditions. Coordinate documentation with internal teams. Update loan statuses and CRM records. Track deadlines and closing milestones. Resolve or elevate potential bottlenecks. Ensure loans approaching closing have their requirements completed.
