ICU Registered Nurse Position

Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Job Description

The ICU Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients. They will be responsible for monitoring patients' conditions, administering medications, and coordinating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in a high-acuity setting and a passion for delivering high-quality nursing care.

Responsibilities

• Manage patients with EVD and multiple medication drips.
• Perform assessments utilizing CAM, CPOT, and RASS.
• Provide care for trauma patients of various severities.
• Implement hypothermia treatment as needed.
• Care for pleurevac chest tube drainage management.
• Utilize Allscript EMR for patient record management.
• Adhere to strict isolation precautions and infection control protocols.
• Float to SICU IMCU as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BSN or higher degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Active RN License to practice in New York State or by reciprocity.
• A minimum of 3 years of ICU experience is preferred.
• Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Preferred certifications: CCRN and TNCC.
