Transform Lives Through Communication – Become a Speech Language Pathologist in Columbus, Ohio
Have you ever imagined a career where your passion for communication brings purpose to life? As a Speech Language Pathologist in the dynamic city of Columbus, your role will stretch beyond just addressing communication and swallowing challenges — it's about liberating voices, reinstating confidence, and fostering connections amongst individuals of all ages — from young children uttering their very first sounds to older adults regaining their independence.
This position is an extraordinary opportunity to meet and assist a diverse range of clients in a blend of outpatient and occasional inpatient settings. Regardless of whether your heart lies in pediatric speech development, adult neurogenic communication disorders, or cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation for the elderly, you will find both fulfillment and a flexible work-life balance here.
Assess and evaluate patients across varying age groups using standardized measures and clinical observations.
Create tailored intervention plans designed to meet immediate and long-term communication or swallowing goals.
Deliver focused, individualized speech therapy that targets language, voice, fluency, and swallowing.
Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, medical practitioners, family members, and caregivers to develop integrated treatment approaches.
Provide education to both patients and families to encourage skill advancement outside of the therapeutic environment.
Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapies to ensure a seamless continuum of care.
Keep precise documentation that adheres to all regulatory and organizational standards.
Engage in ongoing learning through professional development and networking opportunities.
Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Successful completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is necessary if not already ASHA-certified.
Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first month of employment.
Expertise in evidence-based treatment practices for diverse age groups, coupled with a strong grasp of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Outstanding communication skills, enabling effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Ability to modify therapeutic techniques to address a variety of cultural and linguistic contexts.
Strong clinical insight and analytical problem-solving skills.
Comfortable utilizing electronic medical records and adhering to documentation protocols.
Competitive salary reflective of experience.
Flexible work schedules to promote a supportive work-life balance and a diverse set of clients.
Possibilities for specialization in pediatrics, adult rehab, or geriatrics.
Accrued paid time off and holiday remuneration.
Options for medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.
Financial support for continuing education and professional growth.
A nurturing, collaborative atmosphere prioritizing high-quality care and lifelong learning.
In this role, you won't just offer speech therapy — you will be a key player in a mission to uplift voices, enhance communication, and create meaningful moments through the simplest gestures of understanding and expression.
You will collaborate with like-minded professionals who treat each other as family, immersed in a setting that values teamwork and collective achievement. Every individual you assist has a narrative waiting to be shared; we trust your capabilities to help narrate their stories.

We want someone who sees the potential in a child's silence and envisions a future filled with their voice and expression, who hears the faltering speech of a stroke survivor and envisions resilience and progress.
You could be focusing on pediatrics wishing to delve into adult services, or a neuro-based therapist excited about including early developmental interventions — no matter your specialty; if you are ready to serve compassionately and lead with expertise, we are eager to welcome you to our team.
Join us in a community that cherishes communication, connection, and the bravery inherent in fresh beginnings. Apply today and bring your voice to our impactful team — let's help others discover theirs.
