About the Position

Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience License: Registered Nurse Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS Must-Have: Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience Description: Approval to use Rapid Onboarding Checklist. ASAP start needed. Facility has 294 beds and is Joint Commission Accredited. Services include cancer care, cardiac care, orthopedics, imaging, surgical services, and more. The location is approximately 45 miles east of a major city, 2 hours from the coast, and 1 hour from major universities. It is a short drive to recreational areas. Home to various local attractions. Meditech experience is preferred. The Emergency Department has a trauma level designation of N/A. The department has a flexible patient ratio of 1:4-5 depending on acuity. Standard emergency department equipment is utilized, including GE monitors. The electronic health record system in use is Meditech. Supervision is provided by a designated supervisor. The patient population is diverse, including all age groups. Common diagnoses and treatments include respiratory distress, overdose, CHF, dialysis, and hypertension. Ideal candidates should be team players with an engaged and positive attitude. Required education is an Associate's degree in Nursing. Dress code is scrubs, with no specific color requirement.
