Neuro ICU/IMCU Registered Nurse (RN)

The Neuro ICU/IMCU Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing critical care to patients with neurological conditions. The role encompasses both Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) responsibilities, with the expectation of floating between the two units as needed.

The ICU nurse-to-patient ratio is 1-2, while the stepdown ratio is 3-4 patients per nurse. Candidates should possess strong neurological experience and be adept at managing complex patient care scenarios.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing comprehensive nursing care for patients with neurological conditions.
• Monitoring and assessing patient vital signs and neurological status.
• Administering prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols.
• Collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Documenting all patient care activities accurately and timely.
• Supporting and educating patients and their families regarding care processes and health management.

Qualifications include:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Neuro ICU or IMCU setting.
• Current and valid nursing license verification.
• Comprehensive skills checklist relevant to neuro care.
• References from previous employers or clinical supervisors.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
