Role Description

This Travel Registered Nurse role is a contract, on‑site position based in Columbus, OH. The nurse will provide direct patient care, including assessment, care planning, medication administration, and ongoing monitoring, in accordance with established clinical protocols and facility policies. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, documenting care accurately in medical records, and educating patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions. The role involves adapting quickly to new clinical settings, following infection control and safety procedures, and supporting overall quality of care and patient satisfaction in a travel assignment environment.

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio (or compact license eligible), and current BLS certification; ACLS and other relevant certifications preferred.
• Clinical expertise in acute care, medical-surgical, or specialty units, with strong skills in patient assessment, care planning, and evidence-based nursing practice.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in fast-paced, unfamiliar environments, with strong time management, prioritization, and adaptability.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and engaging patients and families with empathy and professionalism.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR), accurate documentation, and adherence to regulatory, safety, and infection control standards.
• Previous travel nursing or float experience is highly desirable; minimum of 1–2 years of recent hospital-based RN experience typically required.
• Willingness to work varying shifts as needed by the facility, and to comply with all onboarding, credentialing, and health screening requirements.
