Find out more at is seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented, team-driven Accountant to join the Accounting/Finance team. This position will support the monthly financial close process for the Americas region, with primary responsibilities including preparing and posting manual and Oracle-system journal entries, preparing account reconciliations, analyzing general ledger activity, and maintaining supporting documentation. The position will perform these responsibilities within a JSOX internal control environment, with a strong focus on accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and adherence to established accounting policies and controls. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, practical experience in corporate financial accounting, a willingness to learn, strong attention to detail, effective problem-solving skills, and excellent communication skills. This is excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional to build a strong foundation in corporate accounting, while gaining exposure to the financial operations of a global manufacturing organization.ResponsibilitiesParticipate in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial accounting close processes, completing assigned accounting activities accurately and within established deadlinesPrepare, document, and post manual and Oracle-system journal entries, including recurring and other system-supported entries; Ensure entries are accurate, properly supported, and recorded in the appropriate accounting periodPrepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, research and resolve reconciling items, and maintain appropriate supporting documentation in accordance with established JSOX internal controls and company accounting policiesAnalyze general ledger activity and account classifications to identify unusual transactions, errors, trends, and required adjustmentsSupport accounting activities across Americas locations, including accruals, allocations, cross-charges, intercompany transactions, and other general accounting activities; Coordinate with our global finance team for accounting entries related to our global holding companiesMonitor and reconcile intercompany accounts receivable and accounts payable activity and balances to support accurate financial reporting and consolidationEngage in the accounting/finance aspects of our customer rebate program with AOC Americas sales team and other finance team members; this includes recording all rebate accruals during month-end close and all payment calculations and issuances with the sales team throughout the monthParticipate in Americas lease accounting processes in accordance with IFRS 16; this includes recording needed additions/updates in lease accounting system and preparing related journal entries and account reconciliationsAssist the Americas Accounting Manager and plant controllers with recording financial transactions and with reviewing results and providing financial analysis as neededSupport the documentation, execution, and continuous improvement of accounting processes and internal controlsAssist with external and internal audits, including responding to requests from auditors and preparing supporting schedules and documentationOther duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field required0-2 years of experience in corporate accounting or public accounting; audit experience preferredCPA candidate or interest in pursuing CPA certification preferredWorking knowledge of fundamental accounting concepts, including debits and credits, journal entries, accrual accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger accountingMust be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft ExcelExperience with Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards, or similar ERP systems and/or familiarity with financial consolidation systems such as OneStream or Hyperion is a plusStrong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, organizational and analytical skills, and the ability to identify and resolve problems effectivelyLegally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorshipMust be willing and able to work on-site in office 5 days/weekWhat We OfferCompetitive PayPaid Vacation and Holidays401(k) with Company Contributions and MatchingMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance - Effective the 1 st of the Month After Hire!Health Savings Account (HSA)Company-Paid Life Insurance + Disability InsuranceTuition Reimbursement ProgramService Recognition RewardsPet Insurance
