Job Description The Montgomery College, Rockville Campus, is currently acceptingapplications for possible openings as a part-time faculty memberteaching Construction and Skilled trades. The hiring decision for part-time faculty involves an academicjudgment and shall be determined at Management’s solediscretion. During the academic year part-time faculty at MontgomeryCollege may teach no more than 11.5 ESH (equivalent semester hour)per semester and no more than 23 ESH per academic year. During summer part-time faculty at Montgomery College may teachno more than 10 ESH (equivalent semester hour) for both sessionscombined. Duties and Responsibilities: Teach courses related to construction and the buildingtrades. Most of our courses involve hands-on lab activities incarpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and buildingmaintenance. Courses are offered days, evenings, and weekends. Required Qualifications: Professional licensure/certification or equivalent experiencein the following construction trades: Carpentry, Electrical, HVAC,General Remodeling; or a combination of education, training,credentials and/or experience that meets the needs and requirementsof the department. ' Willingness to teach in non-traditional settings (off-campus,weekends, evenings and accelerated). Successful candidates will have a demonstrated commitment topromoting belonging, inclusion, and multicultural competence in aneducational and work environment and must be willing to contributeto the Colleges strategic plan of inclusion. Faculty members are expected to have access to a personalcomputer with virus protection that can connect to the internetoutside of the work location (i.e., office, classroom, collegecampus)*.
