The role involves leading the transition from Excel to Power BI, providing insights, data analysis, and strategic recommendations for accounting, finance and sales. The accountant supports cost accounting by planning, collecting, and analyzing manufacturing data to determine activities such as raw material purchases, cost of sales, as-sold cost, scrapping, inventory, and labor. Enjoy a competitive benefits package designed to support your health, happiness, and future: Day 1 benefits – no waiting period to access health, dental, and vision coverage Paid Time Off (PTO) to relax, recharge, and enjoy life outside of work Short-Term Disability coverage for added peace of mind 401(k) with company match up to 4% General bonus opportunity based on performance and company success Comprehensive benefits that support overall well-being Location US-IN-Hobart Shift 1st Shift Responsibilities Performs the Balance Sheet Integrity process which includes reconciliation, validation and verification of the Balance Sheet accounts and follows up on issues and actions in SAP Leads data gathering, communicates with IT on developing datasets, and develops Power BI reports Facilitates manufacturing standard cost reviews and leads PMO activities to address issues and concerns Reviews monthly results and implements monthly variance reporting Improves manufacturing costs and pricing processes, procedures and standards Analyzes and develops cost standards for materials and labor Analyzes manufacturing wastes and identifies ways to reduce inventory Analyzes inventory valuations & revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP Scrutinizes manufacturing cost variances and optimizes profitability Assists with monthly closing process and posts journal entries in SAP Supports internal and external auditing Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports and verifying information Answers accounting and financial ad-­hoc questions by researching and interpreting data Qualifications Education and Experience Requirements Accounting, Finance, or Computer Science bachelor’s degree or CPA, ACMA/GCMA, CMA, CFA credentials Minimum of 5 years of accounting, finance or digital experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements Power BI report development skills preferred SAP knowledge required Advanced Excel skills required Digital (IT) background preferred Power Automate skills preferred Computer skills including MS Office Knowledge of full-cycle accounting Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong team player Self-motivated and detail-oriented Willingness to take on additional responsibilities and grow with the team, and lead projects and tasks Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to speak, read and understand English #J-18808-Ljbffr Daifuku Intralogistics America Corporation
