S.T.E.M. Bridge Builders Summer Camp
Koinonia Worship Center & Village
We are seeking committed volunteers to support our summer camp, an 8-week hands-on program combining engineering, summer reading, robotics, coding and pre-apprenticeship career exposure. Volunteer will help students explore real-world S.T.E.M. and skilled trade pathways while building confidence, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Volunteer Roles May Include:
- Assisting with bridge-building engineering projects
- Supporting summer reading and literacy
- Helping facilitate robotics, coding, and basic circuitry activities
- Mentoring students teams during project-based learning
- Supporting pre-apprenticeship career exploration sessions, including:
- Carpentry (measuring, framing basics, tool safety
- Plumbing (pipe systems, fittings, water flow concepts)
- Painting (surface prep, materials, finishing techniques)
- Air Conditioning / HVAC (cooling systems, energy efficiency basics)
- Electrician (basic circuits, wiring concepts, electrical safety)
