Civil Engineer | Aviation - E.I.T.

Overview Kimley-Horn's Nashville, Tennessee (TN) office is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 2+ years of experience to join their Aviation team. This is an on-site position. Responsibilities Support planning and design of airport projects Support aviation design construction projects as the project representative for design Prepare analysis reports in support of airport planning, design, and construction Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of aviation management and other staff, contractors, and others encountered in the course of work As a critical member of the team, you will perform a variety of engineering tasks and will receive both on-the-job and formal training as well as mentorship and exposure to plan production, project financials, and client interactions Qualifications 2+ years of prior civil aviation experience working within a professional design firm Bachelors or Masters from an ABET accredited university in the field of Civil Engineering "Engineer-In-Training" or "Engineering Intern" certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months) Exposure to AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, and/or GIS Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines Detail-oriented with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment Ability to work independently and as a team This is not a remote position.
