PURCHASING CLERK

Are you organized, detail-oriented, and not afraid to roll up your sleeves? Hotel ZaZa is looking for a Purchasing Clerk to join our team. This is a hands-on role that combines organization, problem-solving, and physical activity to keep our hotel running smoothly. From receiving and putting away fresh produce in walk-ins to distributing hotel packages, you’ll play a key part in ensuring our operations flow seamlessly.What You’ll Do:Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming deliveries against purchase orders and invoices for quantity, quality, and pricing accuracy.Ensure all purchase orders are properly authorized, signed, and assigned to approved vendors before receiving merchandise.Accurately enter receiving and inventory information into the designated inventory management system.Store products properly while maintaining organization, cleanliness, and food safety standards.Issue food, beverage, and operational supplies to departments while maintaining accurate inventory records.Manage the liquor and wine empty bottle exchange program, including counts, documentation, and spreadsheet tracking.Update daily invoice logs and perpetual beverage inventory records.Receive, log, secure, and distribute guest and business packages in a timely manner.Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual physical inventory counts.Maintain an organized, clean, and safe receiving area, storage rooms, coolers, and workspaces.Communicate effectively with vendors regarding deliveries, discrepancies, or damaged goods.Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.Provide exceptional service by treating guests, vendors, and team members in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.Maintain regular attendance and punctuality in accordance with Hotel ZaZa and Z Resorts standards.Adhere to all company policies, safety standards, and operating procedures.Maintain professional appearance and wear the required uniform, name badge, and personal protective equipment.What We’re Looking For:Previous purchasing, receiving, hospitality, or hotel experience preferred.Working knowledge of inventory management and receiving procedures.Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and inventory management systems.Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and consistently meet deadlines.Strong communication and customer service skills.Ability to identify issues and resolve problems in a timely and professional manner.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multiple departments.Physical Requirements:Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.Frequently use hands to grasp, lift, carry, push, pull, and move inventory, supplies, equipment, and guest packages.Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis without assistance and move heavier items with appropriate equipment or team assistance.Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, reach overhead, and balance while stocking and organizing inventory.Ability to transport deliveries and guest packages throughout the hotel using carts, dollies, or other equipment as needed.Ability to work in refrigerated storage areas, loading docks, kitchens, and outdoor environments with varying temperatures.Ability to read, write, operate a computer, and complete receiving and inventory documentation.No job description for any position can possibly include all duties, which may be requested by guests or required by the hotel.
