Position Information We are seeking a Research Scientist, who under general supervision, designs, performs, and analyzes experiments. Mentors students on analyzing and preparing data results. Job Responsibilities Will be responsible for conducting complex independent research into their field of expertise. Utilizes advanced knowledge and skills granted to them by their education and experience to complete research projects in their field of expertise. Analyzes research data and summarizes results. Writes and may contribute to research papers, articles, and publications. Assists with grant acquisition. May assist student researchers, Postdoctoral Research Associates, Assistant Research Scientists, and/or Associate Research Scientists who are working on research related to the project. May supervise assigned staff and/or students. Other duties as assigned. Required Education and Experience PhD in Agricultural Economics or related field Six years of related experience in Conflict and Development Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent written and verbal skills Must be able to work independently as part of a multidisciplinary collaborative team Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others Analytical skills Why Work at Texas A&M AgriLife?
