Qualifications & Experience:

• Background as a Paraprofessional, particularly within school settings.
• Experience assisting EC (Exceptional Children) teachers or in special education preferred.
• Strong communication skills and patience when engaging with students of varying abilities.
• Ability to follow teacher direction and established classroom procedures.
• Flexibility in meeting changing student and classroom needs.
• Willingness to undergo any required background checks or credentialing as needed by the school.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support EC classroom teachers in implementing instructional plans and behavioral strategies.
• Work one-on-one or in small groups with students, offering guidance and encouragement.
• Assist with classroom organization, preparation of materials, and record-keeping.
• Foster a supportive, inclusive environment by promoting positive social interactions and independence.
• Supervise students in various settings, including classrooms, lunchrooms, and outdoor activities.
• Communicate regularly with teachers regarding student progress and needs.
