Step into a vital educational support role making a real difference in the lives of middle school students. This full-time, contract paraprofessional opportunity is positioned near Waltham, MA, offering weekdays from Monday through Friday. You’ll work closely alongside passionate educators, providing direct assistance to students requiring intensive, specialized support through individualized curriculum and the application of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. Your compassion and expertise will directly fuel student growth and achievement.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional, especially in school settings, is highly valued
- Familiarity with or strong interest in ABA methodologies and principles
- Ability to implement individualized education plans and collect data on student progress
- Patience, adaptability, and effective communication with students, teachers, and families
- Comfortable working with middle school-aged children and supporting varied learning needs
- A team-focused mindset with a genuine commitment to enriching students’ educational journeys
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct, hands-on support to assigned students throughout the school day
- Collaborate with teachers and specialists to implement and adapt individualized curriculum
- Apply ABA strategies to encourage positive behaviors and academic growth
- Provide instructional reinforcement and assist with classroom tasks as needed
- Document student progress and actively participate in team meetings to refine approaches
- Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment conducive to learning and engagement
