Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Senior Building Engineer to oversee engineering operations for a high-profile mixed-use asset comprised of a large Master HOA and approximately 24 retail spaces.

Your New Role

As the Senior Building Engineer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and performance of all building systems serving the Master HOA and retail component of the property.

You will:

• Oversee preventative maintenance programs for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, and common area systems.
• Serve as the primary engineering contact for retail tenants, vendors, and property management.
• Coordinate and manage third-party contractors and service providers.
• Conduct routine inspections of common areas and retail spaces.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues while ensuring minimal disruption to tenants.
• Assist with capital improvement projects, vendor bidding, and project oversight.
• Monitor building performance, energy usage, and maintenance expenditures.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and operational standards.

What You'll Need to Succeed

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• 5+ years of commercial building engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and life safety systems.
• Experience supporting retail, mixed-use, office, or commercial assets.
• Proven ability to manage vendors, contractors, and maintenance projects.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs and work order management systems.
• EPA Universal Certification and additional industry certifications are highly desirable.
