Credit Trader - Investment Grade

Who You’ll Work With:We are seeking to hire a Fixed Income Trader on our Investment Grade Credit Desk as a part of the Global Fixed Income Trading team. This is a role with significant opportunity and expectation to add value to our business through contribution to both our IG investment teams as well as the broader credit and FI platform. The position will report to the Head of US HY Trading and work closely with other senior bond traders across Fixed Income as well as portfolio managers, analysts, and quantitative research.This position will be based in Nashville or New York. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with investment professionals in New York, Nashville, London and Hong Kong.What You’ll Do:Developing and enhancing over time an in-depth understanding of fixed income markets, as well as our investment philosophies and strategies of the portfoliosExecuting orders and sourcing liquidity in a manner consistent with our best execution and risk management practices, as well as our policies and proceduresHelp drive the investment process by working closely with senior traders, portfolio managers and analysts, and sharing market views in weekly and monthly investment strategy discussionsWork closely with senior traders across the business on projects that enhance efficiency in the trading and investment processes and mitigate operational riskGathering, analyzing, and disseminating market and security information to identify actionable trade ideas and investment opportunitiesRepresenting AB with the street, fostering new sell-side trading relationships and leveraging existing relationshipsWhat We’re Looking For:The successful candidate is likely to have the following qualifications:Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentStrong work ethic and attention to detail with a precision and risk management mindsetStrong organizational and communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills and experience in a collaborative, team-based, results-oriented environmentStrong analytical skills and an ability to apply those skills in a highly practical fashionA self-starter with an attitude and practice of proactive idea generation and continuous review and improvement of our processesStrong academic credentials; with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.5-7yrs experience in a credit trading role, with a preference to IG or HY US markets exposure.Experience leveraging top LLM models to unlock unique insights that are incorporated in data driven processProgramming skills a plus but not required; Python & SQL primarilyAbout ABWe are a leading global investment management firm offering high-quality research and diversified investment services to institutional clients, retail investors, and private-wealth clients in major markets around the globe.
