DATA ENTRY OPERATOR TRAINEE

Position: Data Entry Operator Trainee

Job Overview:

Under direct supervision of the Department Supervisor and manager this is an in-training capacity to determine suitability for Data Entry Operator work. Job Duties: Must actively participate in training and gaining knowledge of data entry operations specific to each client, account, etc. Learn and show ability to process checks for daily deposit, ensuring that all payments are entered accurately. Learn and show ability to enter and balance employer reports and self-pay remittances in a timely and accurate manner. Use basic math skills to find and process employer reporting and associated discrepancies and errors. Learn how to index documents on a continual basis for electronic retrieval and display this knowledge while working the role. Learn and create and maintain member records as needed. Must work efficiently, effectively and professional while providing assistance to team members. Must show continuous improvement, ability to increase volume of workload, be able to adapt to changing procedures and duties, ability to work independently and as a productive team member. Learn and demonstrate use and understanding of duties as described for position title “Data Entry Specialist”. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Working knowledge of basic office equipment Demonstrated ability to keep calm and positive within all communications. Display proficiency in 10-key by touch. Exhibit professional appearance with excellent verbal communication skills required. Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, and staff in other departments. Demonstrated skills in grammar, letter composition, punctuation, and other related office skills. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal staff and external clients. Requires a dependable attendance record Proven ability to use basic math skills to find and troubleshoot discrepancies and errors within role capacity. Proven ability to accurately and timely review all entered information 1 year of general office experience Utilize computer and phone systems to be able to effectively perform the essential functions of the position. Previous experience utilizing Microsoft office software High school diploma or G.E.D Preferred Qualifications: 1 years of office experience in a high-volume data entry capacity 2 years of college experience in a related field- do not have to have an associate degree Physical/Mental Requirements: The physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by employees to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
