Adjunct faculty members are responsible for effectively planning and teaching courses in a classroom environment to students with a variety of academic backgrounds and experiences. We are currently seeking adjuncts in the field of Humanities. Please note: This wide salary range reflects the diverse faculty ranks within the Virginia Community College System (VCCS). Final salary determination and placement within this range are based on the candidate’s academic credentials and occupational experience as evaluated via the VCCS-10 process. Special Assignments May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor. KSA's/Required Qualifications Master’s Degree with at least eighteen graduate semester hours in the specific discipline Official transcripts will be required prior to final offer Ability to demonstrate the use of relevant technology and learning management systems to effectively facilitate teaching, learning, assessment, and communication Commitment to student engagement in the online teaching environment including maintaining consistent communication and virtual support mechanisms to ensure student success. Technology capability (access to WIFI, computers) to teach remotely All teaching positions of Germanna Community College require the ability to teach in a variety of modalities including virtually.
