Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and formulate diagnosis of patients presenting with urgent care needs
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, utilizing appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills
• Coordinate discharge plans with case management, ensuring a seamless transition for patients upon leaving the facility
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance cost-effectiveness and elevate the standard of patient care
• Manage patient referrals from physicians and act as a consulting physician for hospitalized patients with primary medical diagnoses
• Document patient care accurately to meet insurance compliance and assist with timely appeals for denied services
• Participate in both inpatient and outpatient consultations, which may include on-call responsibilities as required

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on outpatient care, allowing you to interact with a diverse patient population ranging from adolescents to seniors. You will address a variety of urgent care conditions, working closely with patients to ensure they receive timely and effective support for their health concerns.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution
• Current and valid Physician Assistant license (PA-C) in the state of New York
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a healthcare setting
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Demonstrated commitment to a collaborative, team-oriented approach to healthcare
• A valid DEA number is required

Preferred Experience

• Masters in Physician Assistant studies is preferred, increasing your suitability for advanced clinical responsibilities
• Experience in urgent care or emergency medicine settings enhances your capability in this role
• Bilingual skills are a plus but not mandatory

Compensation and Benefits
