Website Product Owner

Summary The Product Owner is responsible for the management and development of complex features on the Ryder corporate website. This person would own the vision for their product and would use their written and oral communication and team building skills to successfully deliver features and socialize their product. The ideal candidate has a history in ideating, creating and executing digital/software projects, has historically been the product owner on an Agile team and knows the processes and ceremonies associated with SCRUM. They can create the vision through “epics”, “features” and “stories”, provide detailed acceptance criteria and work with the product team to ensure that each story meets the “definition of done.” Key Responsibilities Act as the proxy for the customer: advocate for the customer and ensure their target market is heard. Be great at communicating: articulate clearly and effectively to leadership, stakeholders, and technical resources, asserting opinions while allowing others to contribute. Be passionate about their product: continually innovate and inspire others to join the product’s success. Focus on data: use data to improve product decisions and justify features. Business oriented: link user actions to company revenue. Detail and strategy: set the product vision and manage the working backlog while creating a strategic roadmap. Essential Functions Develop, launch, and support new features on the Ryder corporate website. Help orchestrate the launch of features or capabilities for Ryder’s business units, collaborating across functions to grow revenues and deliver value to users and customers. Become a subject matter specialist on Ryder users and customers: understand their pain points, desires, and decision processes, and translate these into epics, features, user stories, and product deliverables for a customer‑centric experience. Work with data analysts to produce insights about the product, customers, and supported business units. Drive AI innovation and adoption at Ryder through product strategy and the product team. Skill and Abilities Lead Design Thinking activities to identify opportunities and define product strategy, including competitive analysis, customer research, capability and dependency analysis, defining objectives, and outlining key results. Evaluate, prioritize, and determine which product experiences to build, identifying core user stories with optimal value, and establish stakeholder understanding. Partner with product design colleagues to create impactful user experiences, leveraging prototypes and lean practices. Partner with data colleagues to identify the role of data and intelligence, defining tactical and strategic opportunities for the product roadmap. Partner with technology teams to identify required platform and cloud capabilities, collaborating throughout build, test, and release. Tell compelling stories that deliver insights about people and behavior, generating empathy and engagement. Knowledge of: Content Management Systems: Intermediate Required Azure Dev Ops for Backlog Management: Beginner Required Mural for Diagrams: Beginner Preferred AI Assistants & AI Assisted Coding: Beginner Required M365 Copilot & Github Copilot: Beginner Preferred Office 365 Applications: Intermediate Preferred Software Development Lifecycle: Intermediate Required Optimizely CMS: Beginner Required BDD & Gherkin: Beginner Required SCRUM Practices: Intermediate Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree required in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Computer Science or equivalent. Master's degree preferred (MBA, Supply Chain, Computer Science or equivalent). Four (4) years or more experience in product management, digital transformation, solution design, business planning, strategy development, competitive analysis, and financial analysis. Six (6) years or more experience in logistics, operations, engineering, agile development or solution development, with demonstrated success in new product development. Knowledge of supply chain management and third‑party logistics industries. Travel 0 – 10% Compensation Information The compensation offered may be influenced by factors such as experience, education, location, market data, internal equity, and salary ranges. The position may also be eligible for an annual bonus, commission, and/or long‑term incentive plan.
