Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position at a Level 1 Trauma Center, requiring 3+ years OR experience, prior travel assignment history, and a CO or compact RN license.

Job Details

• Level 1 Trauma Center with 41 operating rooms,
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts starting at 0645, with occasional floats to 0845 or 1045 starts,
• Occasional floating to night shift, no more than 3 shifts per contract,
• Floating to other UCH OR locations within scope as needed,
• 1:1 patient ratio,
• Weekend coverage as needed per unit requirements,
• On-call requirements as needed, approximately 3 shifts per 8-week period,
• Case types include General, GU/GYN, Neuro, ENT, and Plastic surgery,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license (CO or Compact) required,
• AHA BLS certification required,
• Minimum 3 years of Operating Room experience required,
• Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center experience required,
• At least one completed travel assignment required,
• Epic EMR experience required,
• Experience with a wide range of surgical specialties including gynecologic, plastics, neurology, trauma, general surgery, urology, and ENT procedures,

Additional Information

• Circulate and scrub for a variety of surgical cases across multiple specialties,
• Complete all facility-specific onboarding modules within the first week of assignment,
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position,
• Candidates previously employed by UCHealth or its affiliates within the last two years are not eligible for consideration,
• Travelers who completed a full year on assignment at this facility must wait at least one year before rebooking,
• Maximum of 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract, with blackout periods restricting time off during key dates,
• No blocked scheduling requests permitted,
• Local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are eligible for consideration
