Certified Sterile Processing TechnicianRequires a CBSPD, CRCST, CSPDT certification to be consideredFacility: Thomasville Medical CenterLocation: Thomasville North CarolinaDepartment: Sterile ProcessingPosition Type: Full Time - 40 hours per weekSchedule: Day Shift, 8am-4:30p - Monday through FridayOn-Call: Every 3rd weekendDepartment Information: Our Sterile Processing Department is a critical unit responsible for the lifecycle management of medical instruments and equipment for 5 operating rooms.Growing, dynamic unit with opportunities for professional developmentSupportive leadership fostering a positive work cultureWork alongside a dedicated team committed to quality patient careWhat You'll Do:Cleaning, decontaminating, inspecting, assembling, sterilizing, storing, and distributing equipmentEnsures the instruments and equipment are availableEnsures all equipment is properly maintained, and ready for immediate use in order to support patient care.It is the responsibility of every Novant Health team member to deliver the most remarkable patient experience in every dimension, every time.Our team members are part of an environment that fosters team work, team member engagement and community involvement.What We're Looking For:Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.Experience: One year of experience in a hospital Sterile Reprocessing Department, preferred.Licensure/Certification: Sterile Reprocessing Tech certification, required. CBSPD, CRCST or CSPDT, required.Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Demonstrates knowledge of instrumentation and sterile/aseptic technique. Ability to read and comprehend written instructions to assemble instrument sets and trays. Ability to learn and understand medical terminology.
