Are you ready to make the career you have been looking for?Heavy Operator Responsibilities:Operates heavy wrecker recovering and towing medium and heavy-duty vehicles.Duties entail very early and late pickup and delivery times, employee is on the road an extreme amount of timeDrives a Company vehicle in a safe, courteous and responsible manner avoiding traffic violations and accidentMust follow DOT procedures Picks up vehicles at auction or private party, loads onto Company truck at the various locationsSecures vehicles down and verifies the condition of the truck and the load, gets paperwork associated with the vehicleLeaves lot with orders where to pick up vehicles, drives to the pick destination and verifies vehicles obtains signature at the pickup location confirming the accuracy of Vehicles shown on the order and those received and signs off on the integrity of what was loaded at the locationWorks carefully in such a manner as to prevent injury to yourself or damage to vehicles Complies with established Company policies and proceduresProvide exceptional customer service to our Members in need of emergency mechanical help includingSubject to DOT Procedures - driver logs, unexpired medical cardEnsures safe delivery of vehicles by retrieving and delivering to and from customersGeography, street mapping and GPS skillsKeep track of time and transports for billingMakes proper notations on regarding vehiclesWilling to help in light duty during time of need while on shiftHook and tie down cars for transport following outlined procedures and guidelinesTransport cars between dealerships, body shops, branches and auctions as requestedHeavy Operator Requirements:Must possess a valid driver's license CDL (Class A) and safe driving recordWilling to obtain doubles and triples endorsementMust meet Department of Transportation testing and physical requirementsMust be detail oriented and accurate in work assignmentsMust provide your own hand toolsAbility to perform basic math calculations and interpret road mapsAbility to pass a physical examination required by the Department of Transportation (DOT Card Required) and maintain the certificate for the duration of employment in the positionDemonstrates positive customer service attitude - both to coworkers and customers.Able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodationAbility to move safely over uneven terrain or in tight spacesAbility to work in extreme weatherSit behind driving wheel for extended periods of timeSuccessfully pass drug tests in compliance with company policy and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.**We Offer Competitive Benefits**Medical, Dental & VisionIncentive Pay & Shift Differential for night and weekend driversPaid Time OffCompany Match 401(k)Company Sponsored Life InsuranceSupplemental Accident, STD & Critical Illness coverageWork Life Balance
