Our Oakwood Division in Paulding County, Ohio, breeds hogs and turkeys while providing the best care to our animals in a small team setting. Cooper Farms is currently seeking a 1st shift Farrowing Technician to join our team in Hicksville, Ohio. SHIFT HOURS: Monday through Friday 6:00am-3:00pm, partial shift every 3rd weekend. STARTING HOURLY RATE: $18.05 with the potential of increasing to $19.30 after 90 days ADDITIONAL PAY: Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance) All training will be provided for this entry level position. Job functions include: Processing and vaccinating newborn piglets. Caring for ill animals per veterinary and manager guidance and maintaining records. Maintaining a designated feeding routine. Keeping up on barn maintenance and cleanliness, which includes power washing. Requirements Must be 18 years of age Ability to be on feet for prolonged periods of time.
