Role Description The Service Technician role at MAPEI USA is a full-time, on-site position based in Western, MN. The Service Technician will perform installation, maintenance, and repair of MAPEI equipment and systems at customer locations and company facilities. Daily tasks include diagnosing technical issues, completing troubleshooting activities, performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, and documenting all service work accurately. The role involves traveling within the region to provide field service support, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring work is completed safely and in compliance with company and regulatory standards. The Service Technician will also interact directly with customers, provide clear communication regarding service status and recommendations, and support product performance through hands-on technical assistance. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Maintenance & Repair and Maintenance skills for equipment and systems used in the building materials industry. Candidates should possess solid Troubleshooting skills to diagnose mechanical, electrical, or process-related issues efficiently. Candidates should possess Field Service skills, including on-site support, travel readiness, and effective time management in customer environments. Candidates should possess excellent Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and build professional relationships. Relevant experience in industrial, construction, or manufacturing environments is beneficial. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and safety procedures is required. High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in mechanics, electronics, or related fields is preferred. Ability to lift and move equipment as needed, follow safety protocols, and use hand and power tools safely.
