Accounts Payable Specialist (Hybrid)

More information is available at Hybrid work schedule: In-office requirement. SUMMARY Responsible for compiling and maintaining accounts payable records. Processes checks, generates monthly reports, and assists the Insurance Accounts Payable Supervisor as necessary. Acts as liaison between the company and insurance companies. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Generate and distribute checks written from the company's trust account. Generate the monthly account current statement or report of bookings as required. Reconcile and correct discrepancies between the company and the insurance company's statement or account current. Notify the servicing Producer of any accounting irregularities. Ensure the insurance companies are paid accurately and in a timely manner. Assist the Insurance Accounts Payable Supervisor in reconciling company payables to the general ledger. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. Two or more years of related work experience. SKILLS Good verbal and written communication skills. Basic knowledge of accounting terms. Familiarity with word processing and spreadsheet software. Ability to file and operate general office equipment. Ability to work within a team and foster teamwork. Proficient in Microsoft Office Products.
