Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer with a strong background in Data Modelling to join our dynamic team at Client in Florham Park, NJ. The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of experience in software development, with a proven track record of designing and implementing robust data models that support business objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of data architecture, database design, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into effective technical solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications that meet business needs.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for data modelling and software development projects.
- Create and optimize data models to ensure data integrity, performance, and security.
- Implement best practices for data management and software development methodologies.
- Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve software solutions.
Mandatory Skills:
- Strong expertise in Data Modelling, including conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
- Experience with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Solid understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, C#, or Python.
- Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 7-10 years of experience in software development with a focus on data modelling.
- Proven track record of successful project delivery in a fast paced environment.
- Relevant certifications in data management or software development are a plus.
