Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM

Employment Type: Contract through the end of the year, with potential for extension or conversion

Job Description

We are looking for experienced Home Equity Loan Processors to join a growing lending team. This position will handle full-cycle home equity processing , working directly with members and internal teams to move loans efficiently from processing through closing.

Responsibilities

• Process home equity loans from start to finish
• Manage approximately 25-30 active files once fully trained
• Review income documentation, including pay stubs
• Order appraisals and flood certifications as needed
• Gather payoff information and required documentation
• Review mortgagee clauses
• Prepare files for underwriting and closing
• Coordinate and arrange loan closings
• Communicate with members throughout the loan process
• Collaborate with the team to manage overall pipeline volume

Qualifications

Must Have

• 1-2+ years of full-cycle mortgage or home equity processing experience
• Strong understanding of the loan processing lifecycle
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable with frequent member/customer interaction
• Willingness to learn and work within a hands-on, manual processing environment
• Team-oriented mindset and willingness to help with shared pipeline needs
• Ability to work onsite in Clinton Township
• Ability to commit through the full contract period

• Home equity processing experience
• Direct or indirect lending experience
• Credit union or banking experience
• Experience with Symitar or Encompass

Work Environment

This position is part of a collaborative lending team in a professional office environment. Due to the sensitive financial information handled within the department, employees are expected to maintain a high level of confidentiality and follow workplace security policies, including restrictions on personal cell phone usage.

This is a strong opportunity for an experienced processor who enjoys working directly with members, managing loans from start to finish, and contributing to a team-focused environment.

This is a Contract position based out of Troy, MI.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Troy,MI.
