We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina. This position will support day-to-day accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and contribute to tax-related activities across the business. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in general ledger accounting, prepares entries with precision, and works confidently with corporate and sales tax processes.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and record journal entries to ensure financial transactions are reflected accurately and on time.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies to maintain reliable accounting records.
• Assist with the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns in compliance with applicable requirements.
• Manage sales tax reporting activities, including reviewing transactions and supporting timely submissions.
• Support month-end and year-end closing tasks by organizing documentation and validating account balances.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather financial information and resolve accounting-related questions.
• Maintain supporting schedules and records that strengthen audit readiness and reporting accuracy.• Experience working in a staff accountant or similar accounting role.
• Knowledge of general ledger accounting and hands-on experience preparing journal entries.
• Familiarity with corporate tax concepts and corporate tax return preparation.
• Understanding of sales tax processes, reporting requirements, and related documentation.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Proficiency in standard accounting systems and spreadsheet tools.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining accuracy and organization.
