Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist

Position Overview The primary purpose of this position is to exercise second level supervisory and managerial authorities over the Materiel Management Flight and Fuels Management in the Logistics Readiness Squadron (LRS). Specialized Experience Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-11, or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience may include: knowledge of logistics management operations in supply and transportation policies, practices, and techniques including military and commercial transportation programs, storage and materials equipment policies, preservation, packaging, and cargo movement and materiel management. TIG Requirement Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements. One year at the GS-11 level is required for the GS-12 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of logistics management operations in supply and transportation policies, practices, and techniques with military and commercial transportation programs, storage and materials equipment policies, preservation, packaging, and cargo movement and materiel management. Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures. Knowledge of federal and DOD regulations and guidance pertaining to nuclear weapons-related materiel. Ability to plan, organize, and direct functions, and mentor, motivate, and apprise the staff through subordinate supervisors. Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources. Ability to identify, analyze, and translate complex information, make appropriate judgments, and evaluate options concerning cargo movement and materiel management. Part‑time, Unpaid, and Volunteer Experience Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid, part‑time work, and volunteer experience.
