Overview Sentry is seeking an experienced corporate attorney to join the team as Associate Counsel in Stevens Point, WI. The role involves negotiating complex commercial transactions and advising on general corporate matters. Responsibilities Work with Procurement and business clients to draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts including software licensing agreements, master purchase agreements, and consulting services agreements. Manage a high volume of agreements supporting departments across the organization. Negotiate and advise on strategic corporate relationships such as joint ventures, title sponsorship opportunities, and golf tournaments. Advise IT on use of open‑source software and protection of intellectual property rights. Draft terms and conditions of use for company websites, applications, and products. Consult Marketing on the trademark portfolio, including new trademarks, logos, and enforcement of existing marks. Assist with other corporate matters including responsible use of artificial intelligence, corporate governance, intellectual property rights, and investment transactions. Plan strategies for solving legal and business problems, including litigation strategy, and provide legal advice to management. Assist management in developing operational strategies and solutions relating to corporate policy. Review enacted and proposed state and federal laws impacting the company, advise on implications of laws, regulations, and draft legislation. Qualifications Minimum 5 years overall legal experience in corporate and transactional matters (insurance company, corporate legal setting, or private practice). Ability to prioritize and manage a high volume of work accurately and efficiently under pressure and tight deadlines. Strong academic background with a Juris Doctor from an ABA‑accredited law school and a current license to practice law. Exceptional communication skills, able to interact with a wide variety of internal clients and external stakeholders.
