Strategic Transactions and Licensing Associate Mid-Level

Job Overview A law firm seeks a Strategic Transactions and Licensing Associate (Mid‑Level) to join their team in Los Angeles. This position offers early responsibility, direct client contact, and exposure to a diverse range of industries, including technology, life sciences, AI, financial services, and consumer products. Duties Draft and negotiate licensing, partnering, and commercial agreements. Provide intellectual property, privacy, and product counseling directly to clients. Manage transactions across all stages of clients' businesses, from formation to acquisitions. Requirements Eagerness to work with startup and venture capital clients. Interest in developing a broad technology transactions skill set. JD class years: 2020‑2023, with previous large law firm experience. Experience in commercial contracts, venture financing, M&A transactions, or IP litigation. Admission to the State Bar of California or Texas. Superior academic credentials from a top law school. Certifications Admission to the State Bar of California or Texas. Skills Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Enthusiasm for emerging technology and a willingness to learn.
