Job Overview A law firm seeks a highly qualified junior to mid-level associate to join its structured finance and derivatives practice group in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of relevant legal experience in esoteric asset-backed securitization, though exceptional candidates with more or less experience will also be considered. Duties Manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Advance matters proactively and manage discrete workstreams independently. Collaborate effectively across teams and jurisdictions. Engage in cross-border transactions with colleagues and clients. Requirements 2-5 years of relevant legal experience in structured finance or related fields. Membership in, or eligibility for admission to, the New York, North Carolina, or California Bar. Strong organizational skills and excellent judgment. Ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment with early responsibility. Education Law degree from an ABA‑accredited law school. Certifications Bar membership in the United States. Skills Intellectual curiosity and motivation to learn. Strong sense of ownership and reliability. Ability to manage workstreams with increasing independence.
