A confidential Los Angeles-based boutique law firm is seeking a mid-level Real Estate Associate Attorney (4 to 7 years) to support a busy transactional practice. This role is well-suited to an attorney who enjoys drafting and negotiating core real estate documents, running deals with meaningful autonomy, and building strong client relationships, with the opportunity to gain additional exposure to real estate capital markets style work. Exposure to more complex structures (depending on experience), including joint ventures, syndications, and preferred equity arrangements. Hybrid schedule with an established in-office expectation. Partner track opportunity. THE ROLE Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements and related transaction documents. Draft, review, and negotiate loan documentation and other financing materials. Support joint venture and equity-related real estate arrangements, including operating agreements and related deal documents. Coordinate diligence, closing checklists, and transaction timelines with partners and paralegals. Communicate with clients and counterparties to keep transactions moving efficiently and strategically. LOCATION, SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION Location: Schedule: Hybrid, in office 3 days per week Compensation: $225,000 to $275,000 per year (base salary range) REQUIREMENTS 4 to 7 years of real estate transactional experience, including purchase and sale agreements and financing documentation. Active California Bar admission in good standing. Juris Doctor from an accredited law school. Strong drafting and negotiation skills with attention to detail. Ability to manage transactions end-to-end and coordinate across internal and external stakeholders. Excellent communication skills and a client-service mindset; ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. PREFERRED BACKGROUND Experience drafting joint venture operating agreements. Experience with syndication agreements and preferred equity agreements. Experience in capital markets transactions related to real estate (preferred equity, syndications). Exposure to multifamily, industrial, and commercial real estate matters. Familiarity with joint venture structures and TIC agreements. Large law firm experience. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS Annual billable-hour requirement: 1,800. Dedicated business development budget: $2,500 annually.
