Role Overview

As a Research Lab Associate III, you will play a pivotal role in advancing scientific research by developing, designing, and conducting research projects under the guidance of the Principal Investigator (PI). You¿ll support the research team by performing complex experiments, analyzing data, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Your work will directly contribute to the achievement of research objectives and the broader mission of Henry Ford Health.

What You Will Do

• Develop, design, and conduct research projects according to plan.
• Perform scientific investigative research and participate in achieving research objectives.
• Stay updated on new techniques and review literature relevant to the research field.
• Conduct moderately complex and complex experiments and analyze data using statistical methodology.
• Train and supervise lab members, providing guidance on laboratory techniques and equipment operations.
• Ensure compliance with animal care and occupational safety regulations.

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a scientific discipline appropriate to the research lab.
• Three (3) years of laboratory research experience, preferably as a Research Assistant/Associate in the pertinent scientific field.
• Working knowledge of statistics, computer applications, and research methodologies.
• Manual dexterity to operate complex equipment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in an appropriate field of science.
• Familiarity with computer programming.
