Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg

Schedule: 40-hour evening shift, 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm, every other weekend and holiday.

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: Normal

Requirements:

• Current RN license
• ACLS upon hire or active BLS card and must obtain AHA ACLS within 60 days of hire
• Preferred: PALS certification
• 1 year of Med/Surg experience preferred
• 1 year of Telemetry experience preferred
• 1 year of Pediatrics experience preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assess and reassess patient needs, planning and implementing nursing interventions and evaluating care effectiveness.
• Provide patient care that adheres to established standards and promotes dignity and positive self-regard.
• Educate patients and families according to their learning needs and readiness.
• Collaborate in discharge planning, incorporating necessary support systems.
• Supervise and delegate nursing interventions appropriately while prioritizing patient care.
• Document all patient-related data and interventions accurately and timely.
• Identify patient safety risks and strategies to mitigate healthcare errors.
• Administer medications and IV therapy according to protocols.
• Conduct ongoing assessments, including pain management and response to treatment.
