Job Description
Title: Registered Nurse - Surgical

Schedule: 40-hour, day, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, every other weekend and holiday

Assignment Details:
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: Contract Weeks

Requirements:
- Current MA RN license
- ACLS required
- PALS preferred
- 1 year Med/Surg experience preferred
- 1 year Telemetry experience preferred
- 1 year Pediatrics experience preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assess and reassess patient needs, and develop, implement, and evaluate care plans.
- Provide patient care according to established standards, protocols, and policies.
- Ensure patient dignity and promote positive self-regard through individualized care.
- Educate patients and families based on identified learning needs and readiness to learn.
- Collaborate on discharge planning with patients and families, incorporating necessary support systems.
- Delegate and supervise nursing interventions performed by others, ensuring safe and effective care.
- Document all pertinent information regarding patient care and therapeutic interventions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Proactively identify patient safety risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Administer medications and intravenous therapy in accordance with protocols and physician orders.
- Conduct ongoing assessments of patients, including evaluating pain management strategies.
- Recognize and report any deviations in patient progress to the physician promptly.
