Gracious Hospitality Management’s 550 Madison project is the most ambitious to date: a multi‑level, 15,000‑square‑foot dining destination inside the iconic Sony building. The project brings together three distinct concepts – the second New York location of the Michelin‑starred COTE Korean Steakhouse, an all‑day multi‑bar and dining concept, Bar Chimera, and an intimate sushi restaurant led by Michelin‑starred Chef Masahiro Yoshitake, Sushi Yoshitake. Designed by Rockwell Group, 550 Madison will redefine immersive dining in Midtown Manhattan. We are hosting an open‑call hiring event and want to meet you! Job Summary Drink Runners are dynamic hospitality professionals responsible for the rapid delivery of drink orders from the bar to customer tables. Runners elegantly present each beverage with detailed explanations of the item’s major components and act as a liaison between the bar and service team. Responsibilities Complete all side work related to set‑up and breakdown of the bar, ensuring it is well‑stocked and organized. Prepare glassware, ticket rail, and drink trays; garnish drinks and pour beer from the keg. Deliver customer beverages quickly and accurately, maintaining tables by removing glassware and replenishing drinks. Take orders from customers and ensure 100% accuracy when entering orders. Provide thorough knowledge of all beverage items, ingredients, and presentation to answer customer inquiries. Report to each scheduled shift on time, in uniform, and ready to work. Ensure beverage service complies with safety and temperature standards. Liaise between bartenders and floor staff. Read order tickets and confirm correct beverage delivery. Answer customers’ questions about cocktails and wines. Assist in training new employees as assigned. Assist other stations or areas of the restaurant when requested by management. Standards Display knowledge of Cote brand, culture, and product. Demonstrate the company’s core values of people, learning, culture, relationships, sustainability, and stewardship. Maintain professional and respectful behavior with customers, management, and teammates. Present a polished personal appearance per company grooming standards. Adhere to all company policies and procedures. Participate in all scheduled training and continuing education activities. Take care of all company property. Maintain safety, cleanliness, and sanitation standards. Comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Qualifications Ability to read, speak, and understand English; communicate effectively via email and phone. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Positive, results‑oriented, team‑player mentality. Ability to perform duties under pressure in a fast‑paced environment. Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and local health regulations. Food Handler’s Certification or willingness to obtain one. Flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and holidays; religious accommodation available. Legal age to serve alcohol and responsibility for alcohol service certification within six months. Familiarity with restaurant management software (point of sales, reservations, inventory) and Microsoft Office. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Strong communication with management and teammates. Physical Demands Exert well‑paced mobility for up to 12 hours per day, at least 60 hours per week. Lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Frequently stand, walk, reach, bend, stoop, push, pull, and kneel. Frequently use stairs, often while lifting heavy items. Occasionally crouch and climb. Be exposed to hazards including burns, cuts, scrapes, and frequent wetness. Withstand temperature fluctuations from high heat to below freezing. Handle heavy equipment and machinery. Pay Range
