Job Details

• Start Date: 11/30/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks with option to extend
• Schedule: Primarily night shifts with willingness to rotate days, nights, weekends, part-time, and PRN coverage as needed
• Coverage Need: Approximately 5 shifts per month
• Shift Duration: 12 hours
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $3,770 - $4,050
• Setting: Hospital-based NICU
• EMR: Epic
• Unit Size: 64 beds
• Patient Population: Neonates and infants

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience
• Neonatal training required
• Level IV NICU experience within the past year
• Ability to work independently and autonomously in a high-acuity neonatal care environment
• Experience with high-risk deliveries
• Current BLS and PALS certification through AHA
• ACLS certification
• DEA and CSR required
• Board certification in Neonatology
• Virginia license required by start date

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced neonatal care for infants in the NICU
• Support high-risk deliveries and stabilize newborns as needed
• Perform and assist with procedures including intubation, line placement, lumbar puncture, PICC placement, UAC/UVC placement, and ventilator management
• Contribute to the care of mixed-acuity patients in a busy NICU environment
• Document patient care accurately in Epic
• Collaborate closely with the care team to ensure safe, efficient coverage during primarily overnight shifts
• Support advanced care needs, including ECMO-related coordination with the broader team
