Job Description
The Tractor Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the optimal operation and longevity of agricultural machinery, primarily tractors, skid steers, and implements. Working within a small team of 2-5 members, the technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining equipment.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and diagnose issues in tractors, skid steers, and implements
- Perform repairs and routine maintenance on agricultural machinery
- Replace worn or damaged parts to maintain equipment reliability
- Test equipment to ensure proper functioning post-repair
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs
- Adhere to safety compliance standards during all maintenance activities
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding equipment status and service needs
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical system problems
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in agricultural machinery maintenance
- Proficient in mechanical repair and hydraulic system maintenance
- Skilled in electrical systems and use of diagnostic tools
- Strong troubleshooting abilities across multiple equipment systems
- Familiar with safety procedures in equipment maintenance
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Must have basic hand tools
