Registered Nurse Holy Rosary OBGYN & General Surgery Clinics

Position Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. The Clinic RN utilizes the nursing process through technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence‑based practice, and coordination with other health team members in an outpatient clinic setting. Clinic RNs are pivotal members of the care delivery team led by the physician and possess specialized knowledge and skills pertinent to ambulatory care patient needs. Responsibilities Perform general nursing care according to established standards and procedures. Obtain patient consent for care while maintaining patient confidentiality. Collect health history, vital signs, and assess disease conditions. Provide care based on practice guidelines, standards of care, and federal/state laws. Administer prescribed medications, monitor treatment progress, and consult with physicians and other health providers when necessary. Educate patients and families on health status, maintenance, and management of acute and chronic conditions. Document assessment and intervention data in the electronic medical record. Participate in multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care processes and outcomes. Track quality assurance data and monitor for acute and chronic care management. Assist with provider results, support lactation consultations, and provide wound care services. Physical and Logistical Requirements Employee will be expected to observe and read information, assess patient needs, operate monitoring equipment, identify supplies, and perform physical tasks such as lifting, transferring, ambulating, and carrying supplies up to and including heavy items. Frequent interaction with patients, providers, and visitors and standing for extended periods may be required. Shift Details Full‑time (40 hours per week) with either five 8‑hour shifts or four 10‑hour shifts per week. Location Miles City, Montana – supports both the Holy Rosary OB/GYN Clinics and the Holy Rosary General Surgery Clinic. Minimum Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current, valid Registered Nurse license from the state licensing board. Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. One year related experience in a clinic or acute hospital nursing setting. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Nursing. IBCLC certification. Wound care certification.
