Schedule: Day/Night or Night shifts available; variable weekend coverage based on unit needs; staffing ratios goal of 1:4 (may be 1:5)

Highlights:

• 36-bed hematology oncology unit caring for adults and geriatric patients with diverse diagnoses including lymphoma, multiple myeloma, acute and chronic leukemias, sickle cell disease, and other hematologic conditions
• Advanced procedures including chemotherapy administration, blood transfusions, oncologic emergency management (tumor lysis syndrome, cytokine release syndrome), and critical drip protocols (insulin, heparin)
• Epic computerized charting system with telemetry monitoring on the unit
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, respiratory services, rapid response teams, physical therapy, and social services
• Floating may be required to other Med/Surg and Oncology units
• 72-hour orientation provided; one pre-approved time off period available

Requirements:

• Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of current Med/Surg experience required
• Hematology oncology experience preferred but not required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification preferred
• Proficiency in telemetry interpretation, IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, central line management, PICC line care, and starting IVs
• Experience with Epic charting system required
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing
• Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager or formal leadership role
