About the Role

We are looking for a creatively driven integrated Medical Strategy professional to work across a portfolio of well-known healthcare brands to inspire creatives to drive transformational work. This is a fantastic opportunity to partner with clients known for their commitment to embrace innovative, purpose-driven, and inclusive work. This includes the earliest research stage through creative development, communication planning, and campaign evaluation. At the core of this role is the ability to glean and share human insights, a voracious curiosity, a collaborative nature, and the ability to inspire strong, impactful communications.

In this role, you will be a vital leader, shaping and executing innovative HCP strategies across multiple channels. Your deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, therapeutic areas, and HCP engagement will be crucial in crafting compelling narratives that resonate with target audiences and drive brand growth.

What You’ll Do

• Serve as the medical strategy lead for both investigational and approved assets, partnering with client commercial and medical teams to shape scientific and strategic direction.
• Lead the generation of medical insights by analyzing data from medical literature, market research, cultural trends, and qualitative interviews, and collaborate with creative and account teams to identify opportunities and inform brand strategy.
• Ensure that all deliverables align with medical and commercial goals for consistent, accurate messaging.
• Lead medical strategy for new business opportunities as part of an integrated strategy offering.
• Work closely with Brand Strategists to develop compelling creative briefs that drive impactful campaigns.
• Collaborate on workshop content to ensure strategic alignment with client goals, and work with creative teams to execute and follow up on outcomes.
• Support the development of patient and healthcare provider journeys through research, identifying key medical needs and understanding the functional and emotional experiences for patients and providers.
• Mentor junior strategists in the creation of Medical Strategy deliverables, eg, research stimuli, Target Product Profiles, strategic insights, etc.

What You’ll Need

• Doctoral level degree in biomedical sciences (PhD or MD)
• 7+ years advertising/healthcare communications agency experience is required
• Track record of working within a promotional business team deeply engaged with the science
• Good and vocal presence for client liaison and presentations
• Comfort working within an integrated strategy environment, ie, not advising partner strategists from the outside but getting directly involved in guiding the overall strategy deliverable
• Working knowledge of clinical or preclinical research principles, regulatory affairs, and biostatistics
• Line management history supervising junior staff is desirable
• Experience using Excel, Word, PowerPoint

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. Pay Range

$100,000—$230,000 USD
