Immigration Paralegal

About the Role Salary Range: Commensurate with experience This is a hands-on role supporting attorneys in removal defense and affirmative immigration matters. Paralegals are directly involved in case preparation, document drafting, evidentiary organization, and ensuring timely and accurate filings while working closely with attorneys to support effective client advocacy. Responsibilities Prepare family-based immigration petitions and applications for filing before USCIS and EOIR Prepare applications for asylum and withholding of removal, applications for cancellation of removal, and assemble supplemental evidence packets for filing before EOIR Draft and prepare motions, including motions to change venue and motions for continuance Assist in preparing cases for merits hearings, including evidentiary development and exhibit organization Compile and organize evidentiary submissions, including country conditions reports, expert declarations, and corroborating affidavits Assist with affirmative and humanitarian applications, including VAWA, U visas, and T visas Coordinate with attorneys to ensure timely and accurate filings with EOIR and USCIS Monitor court deadlines and maintain compliance with EOIR and USCIS filing requirements and procedural rules Work alongside the managing partner to ensure tasks are completed on time, schedules are effectively managed, and overall coordination is maintained Qualifications 2+ years of immigration law experience (required) Bachelor's degree or senior standing at a four-year college or university (preferred) Paralegal certificate (preferred) Fluency in Spanish and English (required) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Proven ability to handle a high volume of work and manage a busy calendar Ability to work under pressure, prioritize, and multitask Ability to commute to West New York, NJ (required) Committed to producing high-quality work product This is a full-time, in-person position Equal Opportunity Statement Dumé Law Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and respectful workplace.
