Business Systems Analyst – Data FocusedLocation: Jersey City, NJDuration/Type: ContractJob SummaryWe are seeking a Business Systems Analyst with strong data analysis experience to act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams. The ideal candidate will gather requirements, analyze workflows, support system enhancements, and assist with testing and data validation within a financial services environment.Key ResponsibilitiesGather, document, and translate business requirements into functional specifications.Analyze workflows, data flows, and system processes to identify improvements.Collaborate with business users, developers, and project teams throughout the SDLC.Create process documentation, workflows, and design materials for technical and business audiences.Perform data analysis using SQL and BI/reporting tools (Qlik Sense preferred).Support test planning, test case creation, execution, and defect tracking.Validate reports, system configurations, and data accuracy.Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide user training.Manage project documentation, issues, and communication across teams.Required Qualifications5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, preferably within Financial Services, Private Banking, or Investment Management.Strong experience gathering requirements and working with business and technical teams.Hands-on experience with SQL, data analysis, reporting, and data validation.Experience with SDLC methodologies (Waterfall and Agile).Ability to create workflows, functional documents, and test plans.Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint.Preferred: Experience with BI tools such as Qlik Sense and financial systems.
